CrossFight ACADEMY · EST. 2017
IT EN

Italian martial arts network.

Cross thedisciplines.

CrossFight Academy was founded by Ivan Tomasetti and Alessandro Frezza on one conviction: no single art has all the answers. Judo grips, jiu-jitsu patience, wrestling pressure, the timing of a striker — we train where they meet, exactly the way the founders built their own games.

01 Who we are

Two founders,
one bad habit.

Ivan Tomasetti and Alessandro Frezza did not come up on the same mat.

One built his base in judo and sambo before making his name in Brazilian jiu-jitsu; the other came through the Carabinieri sports centre and the national judo squad, then kept crossing over into grappling and MMA. What they shared was the habit of walking into rooms where they were not the expert — and staying until they were.

In 2017 they stopped treating that as a personal quirk and made it a school. CrossFight Academy is built on the belief that a fighter is not a style. The grip you learn in judo solves a problem in no-gi. The frames you learn in jiu-jitsu keep you alive in MMA. The footwork you steal from a striker wins you the takedown. A belt is a milestone, not a border.

We are not a franchise selling a logo. We are a team of academies that share coaches, camps, corner work and a competition calendar — and we spread across Italy, from Sicily to Gallarate.

02 The method

What cross fighting actually means

Four principles. They are the same in every academy that carries the badge, whether you walk into Monterotondo, Gallarate or Capaci.

01

Cross, don't collect

We don't stack unrelated classes on a timetable. Judo, BJJ, wrestling and striking are taught as one problem seen from four angles — the same position, the same body, different tools.

02

Coaches who still compete

Our instructors are on the podium, not just beside it — European and world medallists, national team athletes and coaches. What they teach on Tuesday, they tested on Sunday.

03

Every member counts

The white belt who trains twice a week gets the same attention as the athlete flying to a World Championship. The team is judged by its whole room, not by its best result.

04

One team, many mats

Shared seminars, joint training camps, cornering at competitions and open mats between affiliates. Your membership card opens more than one door.

04 The founders

Built by people still on the mat

Co-founder · Head coach

Ivan Tomasetti

On the mat since 1990. Third-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, with a competitive record built across BJJ, grappling, judo and sambo — the clearest argument the academy has for its own method. Multiple world and European titles, and still competing.

  • World champion (BJJ, grappling, judo, sambo)
  • 13×European champion
  • 3rdDegree BJJ black belt

Co-founder · Head coach, HQ

Alessandro Frezza

Former athlete of the Carabinieri sports centre and the Italian national judo squad, now a member of the Italian grappling and MMA national team. He founded Bellator Eretum Academy in Monterotondo and runs the headquarters room, where judo throws and jiu-jitsu are taught as one syllabus.

05 What we train

Six arts, one syllabus

Not every academy runs every programme — check the academy page for its own timetable.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu

Gi and no-gi, from first day to black belt. Positional systems, competition prep, and a self-defence layer that never gets dropped.

Grappling & wrestling

Submission grappling and the takedown game that most jiu-jitsu rooms neglect. The bridge between the gi and MMA.

Judo

Traditional throwing and gripping taught by national-team coaches — the foundation both founders came from.

MMA

Where the whole idea gets tested. Striking into clinch into ground, with a cage-specific game plan for amateurs and pros.

Muay Thai & kickboxing

Stand-up as its own craft: distance, timing, damage — and as the entry to everything else we do.

Kids & juniors

Age-grouped classes built on coordination, respect and confidence. For those who want it, a real competition pathway.
